Our asbestos sampling and collection analysis service is provided to help detect any sort of asbestos substance. If a product or material has any suspicion of containing asbestos then a sample is required for testing of the substance. All samples are analysed by a UKAS accredited laboratory and the results can be emailed within 24 hours of collection.

Remember: Never try asbestos sampling on any product or material, this should be done by a fully qualified organisation or person.

We carry out asbestos surveys that meet your building requirements and ensuring the safety of people involved with your building. All our surveyors are P402 qualified, providing user friendly report formats and expert recommendations. We offer all types of asbestos surveys.

Management Survey
This is the most common type of Asbestos Survey. Its purpose is to locate, as far as reasonably practicable, the presence and extent of any suspected Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) in the building, which could be damaged or disturbed during normal day-to-day occupancy, including reasonably foreseeable maintenance and installation work. This type of Survey will also include an assessment of the condition of the materials in question, and that particular material’s ability to release fibres into the air if disturbed. This information can then be utilised for an Asbestos Management Plan for the building or site.

Pre-Refurbishment or Pre-Demolition Asbestos Surveys
If part of a building is to be refurbished, or the whole building is to be demolished, then a ‘refurbishment or demolition survey’ MUST be carried out before hand.
This type of asbestos survey, as the name suggests, is used to locate and describe, as far as reasonably practicable, ALL Asbestos containing materials in the area of planned refurbishment, or throughout the whole building structure, if demolition is to take place.

This type of survey will be fully intrusive, and involves controlled destructive inspection, as required to ‘access all areas’, including those which are difficult to reach under normal circumstances (for example, breaking open of wall and ceiling voids, opening of sealed service riser ducting, and the removal of flooring materials such as floor boards will often be required.)

Other circumstances which require this type of survey will include when more intrusive maintenance and repair work is planned, or before the removal or dismantling of plant, which is likely to cause substantial disturbance of the building structure (and therefore potentially disturb any unseen asbestos containing materials).

The level of required intrusive inspection will be agreed at the forefront of the survey to ensure the quality of the inspection meets with our clients requirements.

Remember: An asbestos survey and asbestos sampling should always be carried out to check for any suspicious materials.
